Alcoa Netherlands is part of Alcoa Inc, located in Pittsburgh (USA). Worldwide 150,000 people are employed. Alcoa is known for their “one day closure process, making them the fastest in the world.

Alcoa Nederland BV has two sites, Harderwijk and Drunen where a total of 180 people is employed. Harderwijk, part of the Building and Construction Systems division of Alcoa produces architectural systems of aluminium which is broadly used in commercial buildings as well as private homes. Alcoa Architectural Systems is market leader in the Netherlands.

April 2008 Architectural Systems has been audited by the corporate internal audit team for the first time as a stand alone company. On a scale of 1-5 a first audit can not be expected to result higher than a 3. Alcoa Architectural Systems scored a 4, having good and sustainable financial business processes.                                                    

Accounting is in US GAAP. ERP system is Oracle. Financial reporting responsibility local and to division headquarters in Geneva – Switzerland.
